Jason Ringstad - HEAD CHEF
Jason started his culinary career in his home town of Fort McMurray Alberta cooking for a high volume catering company doing large offsite events. From there he moved to Calgary to further his training at SAIT were he took the Professional Cooking two year program. He went on to complete his Red Seal and Journeyman’s. During his time in Calgary he worked with several hotels and also did catering at the Calgary stampede. Jason has been working in Jasper for 4 years with a focus in Orso and northern Italian cuisine.
Grant Fowler - ORSO MANAGER
Grant began his career at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in 1991 spending 3 years in the Food and Beverage Department as a part of an intern program for Canadore College. He then moved to Grand Cayman working at the Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa. Making his way back home, he has spent much of his career on the East Coast of Canada.
Quickly moving up the ranks, Grant has held a variety of managerial positions at Magnum & Stines, Murphy Group of Restaurants and Comfort Inn. In addition to his experience in F&B Grant has as well been a professor at Holland College teaching hospitality related courses in Charlottetown, PEI. Grant’s most recent position is as General Manager of the Gypsy Tea Room and Evoo in the Courtyard in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
